In this East London kitchen there are no wall cabinets, the clients wanted to keep the walls completely clear. The result is that the kitchen feels more spacious and brighter with less shadows cast on to the worktops. The plan was to fit the extractor into the ceiling but, as is often the case, there wasn't enough room between the joists, so a custom white hood was made instead. We made the doors in oak, which we stained a dark grey, and the worktops from concrete. There is also a glazed dresser to match.
