In this kitchen project in Hackney, we've paired warm, oiled oak with some simple painted cupboards. Carcasses are made from durable birch plywood coated in a clear, eco-friendly lacquer. The doors feature a raised edge detail, with the lower doors hand-veneered in European oak and finished in a natural oil, and the upper doors painted. All of the knobs and handles are custom-made to give it an original touch. For the dining cupboards, we've gone with a painted finish and recessed handles to keep the look clean. The worktops are made of hard-wearing quartz.
