The simple linear form of this kitchen is set against the raw brick, herringbone flooring and Crittall windows of this room. Solid oak was used for its open grain to add texture, having first been ebonised and then sealed in Danish oil. Drawers are preferred to cupboards for convenience and easier organisation, with just a shelf in oak in place of wall cupboards. A walk-in larder at one end of the room provides ample storage for food. The worktop is handmade terrazzo.
